Playing that game, Joakim provided another option for coach Fred Hoiberg heading into a busy stretch. He took off his warm-up jacket midway through the first quarter of the game after having missed his last nine games. He was greeted with a shower of applause at the United center.

Joakim Noah injured his left shoulder in the thirds quarter of a 105-102 loss game to Brooklyn on last December 21, 2015. In little under 19 minutes of the last game, he went 0 for 7. He also managed 9 rebounds and 4 assists in Bulls’ 114-100 loss against the Wizards. Noah showed a good energy all through the game. When there was 2:19 left in the third quarter, Noah was blocked from behind by John Wall. He then grabbed Noah’s shoulder after he hit the ground . Nevertheless, Noah stayed in the game with his injured shoulder and said he was fine. All of his shorts came from inside five feet of the ground, but he couldn’t get anything to drop. Throughout the game, he eagerly flashed into the post position, demanding a pass in the second for his first attempt. He failed to call for the ball the rest of the way. Even, Noah couldn’t get up high enough to get a decent look. He also seemed ineffective on defense. He was too slow and powerless against the Nene-Wall pick-and-roll action. He failed to step up on the wall for checking Nene’s roll.

The main reason behind his struggle was supposed to be his shoulder injury. He missed three weeks and didn’t look fully fit for the game. Previously, he was battling with an ankle injury, a sore back, a tweaked knee. It is totally unfortunate for him that there is no going back to the days of clean injury sheets for Joakim Noah. But, he is bound to improve after a rusty return from the shoulder injury. Infact, Noah wasn’t the reason behind Chicago’s lost. Their defense as a team was very lax that they couldn’t even get back in transition Wall’s relentless drives.
