DeMarre Carroll is an professional NBA player who is currently playing for Toronto Raptors. The Raptors announced that Carroll underwent arthroscopic surgery Wednesday Morning on his right knee. The operative procedure was performed by Dr. David Altchek at the Hospital for Special Surgery located in New York. DeMarre Carroll was sat out of Monday’s game against Cleveland Cavaliers with an injured right knee. Carroll had a history of injury on the same knee in last December. Then he was stretched off the court.
The Toronto Raptors reporter Bruce Arthur told that it will require an estimated six to eight weeks for his full recovery and return to NBA basketball court. Another source, Kyle Lowry of The Toronto Sun reported that Carroll wishes he would had surgery sooner to be better and get himself prepare to play in the playoffs.

Toronto Raptors signed the forward for a four-year contract on July 9, 2015. He made his debut against the Indiana Pacers on October. In that game, Carroll recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and his team won by 106-99. He missed nine straight games for the bruised right knee and returned on December 26. Then he managed just five games before the injury of the same knee for which he underwent surgery this time. The injury threatens to be a season ending for him.
DeMarre Carroll also played for other NBA teams like, Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks. The young Carroll previously played for University of Missouri and Vanderbilt University. He is the nephew of Arkansasmen’s basketball coach Mike Anderson. His basketball career has been disturbed by some of his bad physical conditions. When at Missouri, he complained of itchy legs and convinced to have allergy. Later, he was diagnosed as a liver disease. It was determined that, 20 years later, he may has to sustain a major surgery to transplant liver. The news is most likely to end the career of any potential basketball career. Hope he will recover soon and return to the court stronger.

He is thought to be a great potential for the Toronto Raptors. He can be much better than he was last year with Atlanta Hawks, averaging 12.6 points and 5.3 rebounds and shot 39.5 percent from three-point range. Although, Carroll was not the best for the Atlanta Hawks in the 2014-15 season of NBA, he was among the most versatile and most valuable player.
